GILBERT, Ariz. (Oct. 27, 2014) – Today, Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar, an award-winning gourmet burger restaurant and wine bar from Fox Restaurant Concepts, opened its first East Valley location in Gilbert’s Heritage Marketplace.  Located in the heart of Gilbert’s downtown historical district at the northwest corner of Gilbert Road and Vaughn Ave., Zinburger features its famous master-crafted burgers, fresh sides and salads, decadent milkshakes and perfectly paired wines and craft beers.

“We’re grateful to be a part of the vibrant dining scene that’s taking shape in the town of Gilbert,” said founder Sam Fox. “There’s no denying it’s a welcoming, family-friendly town and we believe it will be a great fit for Zinburger’s food, hospitality and energy.”

From traditional to one-of-a-kind preparations, Zinburger’s menu encompasses 17 mouth-watering burger combinations and the option for diners to craft their own specialty burger. All beef burgers begin with a freshly ground patty of premium Certified Angus Beef or American-style Kobe Beef grilled to perfection on a flat top griddle to lock in the juices. One burger that’s sure to impress is the restaurant’s namesake sandwich: the Zinburger. Topped with manchego cheese and a heaping portion of onions that have been braised in a zinfandel and honey reduction, this burger rules.

The menu also includes several beefless burgers and salads plus an array of sharable sides including classic hand-cut or smothered green chili fries. Zinburger’s sweeter side features thick and creamy hand-dipped milkshakes in flavors like salted caramel, Butterfinger and banana royale.

Beer and burgers are a favorite, but a great wine and burgers makes it interesting. Zinburger’s wine list is comprised of nearly 20 modestly prices varietals ranging from refreshing California chardonnays to red meat-friendly cabernets and zinfandels. Additionally, guests will find an ample selection of beers and microbrews available on tap or by the bottle, and a custom cocktail list.

The Farm Salad

Zinburger knows Gilbert loves to brunch and is offering its first-ever weekend brunch menu. Guests can enjoy an assortment of brunch items including breakfast sandwiches, french toast, scrambles and morning cocktails like the famed bacon bloody mary and the blood orange mimosa.

The 5,600 sq.-foot restaurant and patio seats 197 people and is reminiscent of a modern farmhouse with high ceilings and large glass garage doors that open to a wrap-around patio.  Zinburger’s décor is minimalistic, and playful, featuring earth tones, butcher block tables, rustic fixtures and comfortable, stylish seating. Energy is everywhere with oversized images of bright pastures and unexpected pops of color.

The original Zinburger opened in Tucson in 2007 followed by a second Tucson location in 2011. The contemporary burger spot was brought to Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix in the spring of 2010 and to Scottsdale Quarter in the spring of 2014.
