HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES

We are all feeling the impact of COVID-19 in some way or another. Small Business is the backbone of Gilbert. It’s what makes the town have that “small town” feel, why we have all our weekly farmers markets & vendor fairs, and why our community is so tight-knit. Small businesses need your support at this time now more than ever. We know that staying home and avoiding all social gatherings is important, so we have compiled a few ways you can help support businesses from a distance.

#4 Buy a gift card and use it later.

This small act can help keep businesses open while we all stay at home.

Here are a few of our favorite small businesses you could buy gift cards to…

SALS GILBERT PIZZA

Sal’s will be giving free lunch to kids who are not able to get lunch due to the school closures. You can buy a gift card or get take out to help support them in their generosity.

NOT YOUR TYPICAL DELI-

A business founded on a good cause.

“NYT Deli was created to make a difference, not only do we serve incredible food, but we also have an integrated work environment for those with developmental disabilities.”

Support this business by buying a gift card for later use or getting take-out.

#3 Order to-go meals.

You can still pick up food to go, and these businesses are making extra effort to make to-go and curbside orders extra easy and safe.

MORNING KICK- place a to-go order and quickly snag an easy breakfast.

#2 SHOP THE GILBERT MARKET FOR GROCERIES.

During this time, grocery stores will remain open as they are vital for people to continue to get their necessities. The Gilbert Farmer’s Market is like any other grocery store except it’s brought to you by all the small businesses that are the backbone of our town. You can buy your produce, lotions, soaps, and more and know you are doing your part to support our community.

There are several vendors who are offering curbside pickup orders to avoid gatherings of people.

#1 Buy at-home activities and online courses from small businesses

What a wonderful era of technology we live in. We are lucky to be able to take online courses and gather with others online in a digital world. Take advantage of these unique offering by small businesses trying to stay open.

Here are a few local businesses offering online classes & pick-up orders…

PURE BAR CHANDLER – Online workouts for members.

MADE WITH LOVE

Shop for all your necessities in their online marketplace. You can find bath & beauty products, adult apparel, & children’s apparel.

Art House Gilbert

Will be offering online courses for basic hands-on activities you can try with minimal supplies at home.

These are just a few of our favorites, but there are so many more small businesses you can support. Now more than ever they need your help!
