AIR GUITAR TO OPEN THURSDAY

air guitar opens thursday

(Gilbert, AZ) – Housed inside a striking, custom-built space in the heart of the fast-growing Phoenix suburb of Gilbert, AZ, Air Guitar (1566 S. Higley Rd.) is ready to redefine the traditional convenience store by transforming a grab-and-go stop into a meaningful part of your day, not just something on the way.

Founded by the husband-and-wife team behind one of Arizona’s most iconic restaurant brands, Craig and Kris DeMarco of Upward Projects, alongside another dynamic duo with an equally impressive record of retail success, Eric and Elissa Seitz of Bro Retail Group, at Air Guitar, every detail of the classic corner store has been thoughtfully reimagined by a team uniquely suited to the task.

Open daily from 5 am to 11 pm, pop in for a quick snack, a freshly steamed latte from Air Guitar’s in-house full-service coffee bar, a scoop or cone of ice cream and a potentially winning lottery ticket. Shop the selection of fine wines and super-cool beers sold by the can that can always be enjoyed while you are shopping or on the patio, as well as 50 different grab-and-go meals made fresh daily by M Culinary Concepts. Or stick to staples such as your daily grocery items, slushies and freshly made pizza by the slice. Plus enjoy thoughtful touches such as fresh bouquets from Camelback Flowers, and a ridiculous amount of kombucha and non-alcoholic beverages.

“We knew todays on-the-go shoppers are looking for fresh and fun new options, from premium coffee, beer and wine, to restaurant-quality to-go meals, without sacrificing the corner store staples of speedy service and affordable options,” says Eric Seitz, whose Bro Retail Group operates a collection of more traditional convenience stores across the Valley. “Most important for any convenience store, we discovered the perfect location here in Gilbert and the fast-growing Epicenter at Agritopia.”

Designed by the award-winning debartolo architects (barnone, Provision Coffee), Air Guitar invites guests to explore the soaring 5,000-sq.-ft. interior bedecked with open-air coolers overflowing with fresh foods and more, all while soaking in natural light from the dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Bookended with two beautiful patios that are artfully protected from the Arizona sun by a soaring 9,000-sq.-ft. roof canopy that floats above the space while bathing it in natural light from all sides, this desert sensitive yet highly technical building is designed for rapid arrival, efficient flow, self-service, and high-convenience. Don’t forget to check out the concert-level audio system that will be always be jamming your favorite hits.

Located on the NW corner of Higley and Ray roads, Air Guitar was developed separately but in parallel with the new Epicenter at Agritopia. Air Guitar will serve as a quick and easy welcome to an electric new mixed-use experience developed by Johnston Companies. Founder Joe Johnston worked with the DeMarco’s & Seitz’s to secure and develop the corner parcel based on their experience creating best-in-class concepts that transform entire neighborhoods.
